It is with regret I'm announcing I won't be updating this blog any more. There are several reasons, the main ones being I just don't have the time to devote to this blog any more plus there are several other sites out there that are offering Kiss mixes and a lot more other mixes as well. For those of you that have donated mixes that have still yet to be put up, I will be donating these mixes over time to www.mixesdb.com which is a very busy site with 1000's of mixes - so look out for donations by wayetta_slob!

Thanks to everyone for their kind music donations and for those of you that visited the site. The download links will be left up but won't be renewed so after one month without downloading they will expire.

Courtesy of serious old skool taper DJ Diablo we've got a very early Kiss FM set when it was still a pirate (ie before it became a legitimate station) and broadcasting on 94FM.

I can't believe this set is now 22 years old and our contributor still had it in his tape collection - nice one!

For those of you that never heard real electro and real rap before it got commercialised, re-released, watered down etc. etc. then this is the show for you.

HOUSE SHOW - Judge Jules Kiss 100 Show 1997

Now people love to slag off Julesy and most of the time I'd be inclined to agree with them but shows like this are where I first heard of the guy (he was one of the first DJ's to feature on Kiss when it relaunched as a non-pirate) and I give him his props for still being in the dance scene. This show is from my archives and is different from how he plays out as he is very pigeon-holed as a DJ, but here he serves up house, drum n bass, and even the first commercial speed garage tunes before they got big on other commercial stations. I really like this show but there is a bit of interference at times (no way to clean this up unless someone can suggest a way round it) so with that in mind, enjoy!

Back in the earlier days of Kiss there used to be a 3 hour show on Wednesday night/Thursday morning from 1am-4pm called "Givin it Up" where the turntables were turned over to a special guest DJ.

This show is well known to me as I taped it back in 1994 but only got 1.5 hours of it. But thanks to the kindness of another hardcore Kiss taper Siman91 we've now got pretty much the full show so cheers Siman for this one - I always wondered what the rest of the set sounded like and its a cracker!

Courtesy of resident Kiss lover Steve J (cheers mate), here's how the original car sticker used to look that was rare to own (I think you could only get them from the Kiss shop, Kiss Towers, wherever that used to be lol) or win it in a competition. Anyway, if you see a car with this on the back it must be a real old banger by now as like everything good with Kiss FM it was re-designed in 1998 to an inferior offering! (me bitter? Nah!)

Kiss 100 Archive - All the best DJ sets up to 1998!

I've created this blog because I absolutely loved pre-Emap (1998) Kiss 100 FM. Kiss started off life as a pirate radio station in London, England and has been one of few pirate stations allowed to go legitimate. This happened in the early 90's and Kiss 100 was THE place to listen to at the time underground DJs playing the best dance tunes. It mixed the pirate style of anything goes tune-wise with a bit more professionalism. Around 1998 Emap took over Kiss and things went seriously downhill. Kiss was re-branded a 'youth radio station' and suddenly the sort of fodder you listened to on any commercial radio station was now being played on Kiss. Because I've been so disappointed by this change to our beloved Kiss I have started off this Blog with download links so that everyone can hear what Kiss used to serve up on a daily basis.
